Congratulations are extended to Alex Napier who retired September 2nd from Thompson Engineering after 18 years of service as their Health & Safety Director.
During the past 12 years Napier has been an active member of Mobile Section AGC’s Safety Committee where he provided guidance and leadership.
In 2006 he was awarded the designation of Mobile Section’s “Safety Leader of the Year”.
Napier also served as President, Secretary and Delegate for the Mobile Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers.
He has truly been a Safety Leader in the Mobile area and will be missed!
His Retirement plans include attending Auburn University football games, spending more time at the hunting cabin, RV touring of the US and Canada, and touring Europe and the far east on ocean and river cruises with his wife Suzanne.

With Alex’s retirement, Hunter Hudson will assume his role as Thompson’s Safety Officer.
Hudson began his career in the safety field in 1990 with the United States Army. He has worked with several engineering firms and always assumed the role as a safety officer. Hunter started with Thompson Engineering in 2009, and began supporting Alex Napier in his efforts of providing a safe workplace for all employees.
Hudson will be based in Thompson Engineering’s Birmingham office, but will be traveling to all of Thompson’s offices.
