Employment hits 10-year high in July; unemployment, job openings set series records Nonfarm payroll employment in July increased by 157,000, seasonally adjusted, from June and by 2,400,000 (1.6%) year-over-year (y/y), the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported today.
