On Tuesday, September 19, 2017, the Baldwin County Commission honored Benton Andrews with
Racon, Inc., for his 60 years of service in the road building industry in Alabama. The County Commission designated a county bridge over the Blackwater River on County Road 83 in South Central Baldwin County as the “Benton Andrews Bridge”. Mr. Andrews played a significant role in the construction of the Baldwin Beach Express which includes the Benton Andrews Bridge.
