What a great evening at Alabama AGC’s BuildSouth Awards held April 20th at The Club in Birmingham Honoring the Best of Alabama’s construction industry. We are proud to have several Mobile Section members recognized during the evening and honored to have two Mobilians represent AlabamaAGC statewide throughout 2023. Rob Middleton with Middleton Construction from Mobile will serve as AlabamaAGC’s President, and Morris King with Vulcan Materials, Inc. also from Mobile will serve as AlabamaAGC’s Associate President.
Mobile Members who were Recognized:
Ben M. Radcliff Contractor, Inc and Whitesell-Green, Inc. were both honored with AGC’s Legacy Awards for companies who have been a part of AGC and the construction industry for over 50 years;
Courtney Hearin with Persons Services was recognized as one of the outstanding Women in Construction in Alabama;
Jenifer Eubanks with ALDOT SW Region was honored as this year’s Industry Collaboration & Leadership Recipient for her Leadership, Service and Contributions to the industry in Work Zone Safety;
Skip Powe formerly with SSR, Inc and now Executive Director of Alabama Road Builders Association was named
Associate Member of the Year for his leadership and contributions to AlabamaAGC for his dedication to Work Zone Safety;
Persons Services was honored with a Safety Award;
McElhenney Construction Company LLC was recognized in the category of New Highway Construction for their Baldwin County Boat Ramp Project;
The University of South Alabama was recognized as Public Owner of the Year; and
Charles Mayhall of Mobile a student attending Auburn University was one of six Scholarship recipients.Congratulations to ALL recipients but we are especially proud of
