Lessons from Millie – “No Phones in the Cone Zone”

Appreciation to The Construction Channel for creating this great video telling why Morris and Millie are traveling the state encouraging “No Phones in the Cone Zone”.   Please take a few minutes to view our video and share, the more drivers we reach with our message the more lives could be saved.

Millie The Alabama AGC WorkZone Safety Dog

AlabamaAGC’s Associate President Morris King and Work Zone Safety Dog – Millie,  have been busy this month traveling the state bringing awareness of Work Zone Safety to fourth grade students.  So far, in November,  their travels have taken them to Prattville, Florence, and Madison all in an effort to drive home the dangers of distracted driving with “Lessons from Millie” – “No Phones in the Cone Zone”.

Millie was clearly a hit with the students at each of these presentations.  Our hopes are that the children leave these presentations with a memorable message from Millie: “No Phones in the Cone Zone”!   They  were encouraged to share this message with their parents and/or other drivers to help save lives in work zones.

Appreciation to Morris King with Vulcan Materials and Millie -AGC’s Work Zone Safety Dog
for their hard work in spreading our message.    Their next presentation will be held at St Ignatius Catholic School in Mobile on November 17th.
