Millie and Morris King Speak to Prattville Elementary about No Phones in the Cone Zone

Morris King with Vulcan Materials and  “Millie” – AlabamaAGC’s Work Zone Safety Dog
are touring around the state talking to 4th graders and asking them to join Millie’s Team to raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving, especially when traveling through work zones.  The goal of the “No Phones in the Cone Zone” campaign is designed to teach kids the importance of distraction-free driving before they’re old enough to get behind the wheel and to empower them to develop safe driving habits and emphasize the importance of protecting road workers on the job.  Students receive  a “Lessons from Millie – Coloring Book and Work Zone Safety Card” and get to personally meet with and pet Millie.

Millie & Morris began their  2023 tour in Mobile with over 200 students at Hutchins Elementary School, followed by a visit to Grantswood Elementary School in Irondale, AL.
Millie and Morris were most recently in Prattville on November 1st at Prattville Elementary School where they spoke with over 300 students.   Click links below to view the TV coverage from the Prattville event:
