Meeting Date: Thursday, July 27, 2017
Location: Mobile Gas auditorium located at 2828 Dauphin St. Mobile, AL 36606.
Time: Registration from 11-11:30am, with meal and meeting from 11:30-1pm.
Purpose:
To bring all underground stakeholders under one roof, in the interest of damage prevention. We hope to hold these meeting on a quarterly basis, and just keep everyone in the loop as to what’s happening in Alabama.
Since the last meeting in July, Alabama 811 has again broken the all-time daily ticket record, which now stands at 3,354 locate requests! Things aren’t slowing down, so we all need to keep meeting and working together!
Alabama 811 received a 22% increase in call volume over 2015, which was the largest percentage increase in over 20 years. 2017 does not look to be slowing down, as Alabama 811’s all-time daily ticket record was broken in JANUARY this year, which is normally a slightly slower month for ticket volumes. What does this mean for you? Utilities are scrambling to keep up with the volume and excavators are wanting to move a quick as possible. Now, more than ever, everyone getting together and sharing upcoming projects, and understanding what’s needed from all parties is extremely important
