Congratulations are extended to Peter Pearce who will celebrate 50 years of service with Gulf Coast Truck & Equipment Co. on February 26th.
His career has spanned 50 years dedicated to Gulf Coast Truck & Equipment and Mack Trucks and he still enjoys working every day! When asked about retirement, he says he doesn’t have plans to do that any time soon as he enjoys the people he works with and those he meets through his job too much.
In 1968, he started in the parts department and soon became the parts manager. After 10 years as parts manager, he moved to outside sales and from there he was promoted to sales for GCT Medium Range Trucks and on to Heavy Duty Truck Mack Sales. Today he works in new sales and specializes in customer relations.
In addition to his employment with Gulf Coast Truck, Pete has served on Mobile Section, AGC’s Associate Board of Directors for over 15 years and currently serves as our Chaplain. He has also volunteered his services throughout his involvement with AGC to numerous Bonanza Days, annual Golf Tournaments, and Crawfish Boils. He has also served as a director and past officer of the Baldwin County Road Builders Association.
Pete’s hobbies are restoring classic cars, volunteering his services to his church, Springhill Presbyterian, and helping others.
