Truckworx Celebrates 40th Anniversary in 2018

Truckworx, the Kenworth Truck dealer for Alabama, Mississippi and the Florida Panhandle, celebrated its 40th Anniversary in business on February 1, 2018.

Truckworx was founded as Kenworth of Birmingham in 1978 by current Truckworx CEO, Bob Mitchell, and his father, B.B. The business initially had nine employees, one location and focused on equipment sales, parts and service for Kenworth trucks in the Birmingham area. Now, with over 365 employees and nine locations, Truckworx has expanded its footprint to include all of Alabama, Mississippi and the Florida Panhandle. In addition to Kenworth trucks, Truckworx is also now a dealer for Hino and Isuzu Commercial Trucks, Blue Bird Bus, Yeti Products and six heavy duty trailer lines.

The company’s full-service dealerships are located in Birmingham, Huntsville, Mobile, Montgomery, Thomasville and Dothan, Alabama, and in Jackson, Mississippi. In addition to these, Truckworx also operates a commercial body shop in Birmingham, Alabama and TRP Parts, a commercial truck, trailer and bus parts store in Alabaster, Alabama.
